Travel to Dubrovnik
Traveling by plane is a convenient and comfortable way to visit Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), also referred to as Čilipi Airport, is the international airport of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Many European companies have regular flights to Dubrovnik or Zagreb. The Croatian national carrier, Croatia Airlines, provides regular flights from Zagreb to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik airport is located about 18 km from Dubrovnik's city center.
From the airport you can take a bus or a taxi.
The Atlas buses depart upon arrival of every scheduled flight and for 35 HRK (5 EUR) take you to the Old Town (Pile gate, 1st bus stop). If you are staying in CAAS Residence this is most suitable option. Hotel Lero is near the Pile gate, but there is a 20 minute walk, so you can take additional bus from there. If you are staying in hotels Neptun or Ariston, you should also get off the bus at Pile station, and then take the local bus to Babin Kuk, where these hotels are located.
Taxi price from airport to the city is approximately 35-50 EUR.
Accommodation
Accommodation at a conference rate has been arranged with the CAAS Residence (collocated with the conference venue) as well as with hotels Lero, Neptun and Ariston.
Participants should complete their reservations before April 24, 2012 to obtain the conference rate (mention reference "KES-AMSTA 2012"). The prices refer to the period June 24-27, 2012. You will receive a confirmation of your reservation directly from the hotel.
Rooms will be assigned on first-come-first-serve basis. After April 24, the remaining rooms will be released from the conference block. Please make your reservations early, as the number of rooms with guaranteed rates is limited and may fill quickly. All reservations should be handled DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL.
CAAS Residence
The CAAS Residence is located on the third floor of the CAAS building. Each room has a bathroom, air condition, phone and wired Internet access. For the KES-AMSTA 2012 conference we have provisionally held a block of 10 single rooms, 13 double rooms and 3 combined rooms (2 single rooms with shared bathroom).
The conference prices are as follows:
Single room - 60 EUR per day.
Double room - double occupancy - 45 EUR per day per person.
Double room - single occupancy - 75 EUR per day.
Combined room - 50 EUR per day per person.
The breakfast is not included in the price and it costs 4 EUR per day per person.
City tax is 1 EUR per person per day.
Hotel Lero***
Distance from the conference site: 1.5 km (20 min walk). The conference prices are as follows:
Double room - double occupancy, breakfast included - 48 EUR per day per person.
Single room, breakfast included, sea view - 78 EUR per day
Double room - double occupancy, halfboard included - 54 EUR per day per person.
Single room, halfboard included, sea view - 84 EUR per day
Fullboard supplement is 12 EUR.
City tax is 1 EUR per person per day.
Hotel Neptun****
Distance from the conference site: 4.5 km (50 min walk or 10 min by bus). The conference prices are as follows:
Single room, breakfast included, sea view - 106 EUR per day
Double room, breakfast included, sea view - 130 EUR per day
